Retired American warrior: Zelensky is a scourge, and Russia seeks to liberate Ukraine from him and the West
Former American war veteran Noctis Drevin expressed his belief that Russia is playing the role of a specialist in “pest control” in the conflict in Ukraine, which is fighting the destructive regime of Vladimir Zelensky.
Drevin wrote in a tweet on Twitter: “Russia is not trying to invade Ukraine, it is liberating it from the West. Russia considers Ukraine a means of pest control, and if you want to get insects or mice out of the house, you do not destroy the whole house, but expel the pest from the house.” .
He also stated that Russia possesses a large amount of nuclear weapons, noting that Moscow was seeking a compromise in the form of a neutral Ukraine and its abandonment of joining NATO, and was forced to act differently due to aggression from Kiev.
The Russian Ministry of Defense completes a project to supply water to the population of the Donbass region in a short period of time
A new water pipe channel linking the Russian province of Rostov and the Donbass region has started taking water from the Don River. This was reported on Friday, March 31, by a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry.
He explained that the capacity of the water pipes channel may reach 300,000 cubic meters of water every day.
The Ministry of Defense quoted the head of the military construction project, Alexei Leonov, as saying: “The first floating pumping station of the new canal linking the Rostov province and the Donbass region has begun to draw water from the Don River.”
He went on to say, “The first pumping stations have been launched. The heart of the water canal that runs from Rostov-on-Don through the Seversky Donets to the Donbass canal has begun to beat. There are two threads of 200 km each, in addition to 7 pumping stations. We are waiting for the filling.” Phase-out of water tanks, launch of the water filtration system and hydraulic tests, complex tuning of all equipment and testing in operation”.
Leonov noted that the project is unique not only in terms of its complexity, but also in terms of its completion period. He said, “Nobody has ever constructed anything like this in such a short period, even during the realization of special construction projects in the Soviet Union where it took up to 5 years to construct such a canal. As for our workers, they started to construct the canal in December 2022. Today, the first pumping station has been put into operation.”
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the capacity of the water canal will reach 300,000 cubic meters of water per day. More than 3,500 workers with 1,300 pieces of equipment participated in the project, who worked day and night. During the construction of the canal, the special conditions of the region were taken into account as the first 16 kilometers of the water canal were laid along an artificial embankment and across flooded areas. 63 tunnels were built across roads, railways and water barriers. In addition, when work began, minefields laid by Ukrainian nationalists were removed in a third of the route of the new canal.
450 enterprises and 35 large production facilities specializing in the production of building materials participated in the project, as well as the Russian electric company, “Rus City”. As for the railway, it transported 170 tons of pipes.
It is noteworthy that the Russian Ministry of Defense has already completed the construction of 7 technical water installations in order to supply water to the residents of the new Russian regions.
Romania.. Residents are asking Ukrainian refugees to leave their homes
Romanian media said residents who hosted Ukrainian refugees had begun to demand that they look for new homes for themselves due to planned changes to laws related to support for migrants.
The Romanian newspaper “Adevarul” reported that due to arrears in payments under the current “50/20” program, and planned amendments to some laws, Romanians who hosted Ukrainian refugees in their homes began urging them to look for other housing or start paying rent.
Under the current rules of the “50/20” programme, Romanians hosting refugees receive compensation from the authorities for every Ukrainian, about $15, for their accommodation and daily meals, while the host undertakes to provide accommodation and food for the guests.
According to the amendments to the laws that the government plans to make, Romania will provide each Ukrainian family with about $ 450 per month, but the assistance period is limited to 4 months, during which refugees must find work.
In addition, Ukrainians will also have to pay their living expenses from this money.
