A new water pipe channel linking the Russian province of Rostov and the Donbass region has started taking water from the Don River. This was reported on Friday, March 31, by a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry.
He explained that the capacity of the water pipes channel may reach 300,000 cubic meters of water every day.
The Ministry of Defense quoted the head of the military construction project, Alexei Leonov, as saying: “The first floating pumping station of the new canal linking the Rostov province and the Donbass region has begun to draw water from the Don River.”

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the capacity of the water canal will reach 300,000 cubic meters of water per day. More than 3,500 workers with 1,300 pieces of equipment participated in the project, who worked day and night. During the construction of the canal, the special conditions of the region were taken into account as the first 16 kilometers of the water canal were laid along an artificial embankment and across flooded areas. 63 tunnels were built across roads, railways and water barriers. In addition, when work began, minefields laid by Ukrainian nationalists were removed in a third of the route of the new canal.
450 enterprises and 35 large production facilities specializing in the production of building materials participated in the project, as well as the Russian electric company, “Rus City”. As for the railway, it transported 170 tons of pipes.

Kherson authorities dismantle a Ukrainian terrorist cell planning attacks in Nova Kakhovka
Acting Governor of Kherson Province, Vladimir Saldo, announced that the authorities in Kherson had uncovered a Ukrainian terrorist cell that was planning to carry out terrorist attacks in crowded places in the city of Novaya Kakhovka.

The Russian ambassador to Minsk, Boris Gryzlov, said that Belarus’s nuclear weapons were moved to the western border of the Union State, to enhance the security of the two countries.
The ambassador noted that by July 1, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin, a storage facility for deploying tactical nuclear weapons will be equipped in Belarus.
