Honduras Rejects External Interference in Political Crisis

“We solve the problems of Honduras,” said the legislator from President Xiomara Castro’s party.

The deputy of the Freedom and Refoundation Party (Libre) of Honduras, Allan Cárcamo, rejected this Thursday from the ruling party any international interference in internal issues in the midst of the political crisis in Congress.

“From the ruling party we do not accept any international intermediary, the problems of Honduras are resolved by us,” stated the legislator in contrast to the opposition position on the intervention of foreign entities.

“Cachurecos, get rid of that bad habit of having others fix your problems. They don’t understand that by giving power to the gringos they are taking away all the narco-corrupt people,” he published on his X account.

The statements come after the National Party and other parties have requested that the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS) intercede as mediators between the political forces.

“We are going to solve the problems here and we do not want intermediaries, because the only thing they have sought is to take the country’s wealth and leave it in poverty,” he added.

In this sense, Cárcamo affirmed that those who have crimes must pay while calling for a session in the National Congress, which has not been able to meet for 60 days.

At the beginning of this week, the head of the opposition National Party, Tomás Zambrano, made a call to international organizations, meanwhile, announced that the three opposition parties would be absent from the call of the Dialogue Commission for this Thursday.
